Te Tiriti Workshop for Farsi-speakers

Peace Lecturer Training

The IWPG in collaboration with IWIN conducts a training program, ‘Peace Lecturer Training’ (PLT) in order to enable women of Aotearoa to unite, and to learn and practice the spirit of peace.
The purpose of PLT is to empower women in their communities and homes to spread a culture of peace.
As they learn more about living peacefully in their everyday life, women will become shining examples to those around them.
The curriculum consists of 10 lessons with assignments conducted in person at #newlynncommunitycentre
Upon completion of the training, learners will be awarded an IWPG Lecturer Certificate and will be able train up future Peace lecturers.
There will also be Art Workshops for kids who accompany their mum.

“Our Story is One” Panel Discussion

The panel discussion will be held along the Art Exhibition “Our Story is One”, and presents reflections from Iranian women in Aotearoa New Zealand.

Come along to enjoy the art work and listen to these wonderful women who will share their perspectives on women’s rights and gender equality as a global phenomenon.

The exhibition features new work by nine artists. They explore the exhibition themes (gender equality, resilience, solidarity, justice and human rights) using painting, barkcloth, print making, tapestry, sculpture and photomontage. The uplifting creations of the artists focus what inspires them, which includes the sacrifices and resilience of their whānau and people (from Iran, the Pacific, Aotearoa), sacred verses, poems and the exhibition themes.

“OUR STORY IS ONE” ART EXHIBITION

Iranian Women of New Zealand, the New Zealand Baha’i Office of Public Affairs and the Baha’i community in Auckland have organised an art exhibition called ‘Our Story Is One’ which runs from 19 to 30 March.
The exhibition features new work by nine artists. They explore the exhibition themes (gender equality, resilience, solidarity, justice, human rights) using painting, barkcloth, print making, tapestry, sculpture and photomontage. Their uplifting creations focus on what inspires them – the resilience of their women and communities in Iran, the Pacific, Aotearoa – sacred verses, poems and the exhibition themes.

Meditation Retreat

It was only one night, but what a night 🍀☘️🌿🍃🌲🌳🌱
We stayed at @kawai_purapura retreat for 24 hours. We lived that 24 hours to the fullest. It was a joyful experience of companionship, friendship, and peace.
There was everything needed to have a memorable stay: #meditation , #yoga , pool, spa, delicious #veganfood , movie, singing and dancing.
