March 2023 – A film screening at Auckland Museum

IWIN and Voice of Iranians (VOI) had a film screening at @aucklandmuseum . Thanks to Maia Faddy and her team, we could screen the documentary “752 is not a number”. On January 8, 2020, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps deliberately shot down Ukraine Airline Flight 752, minutes after takeoff from Tehran’s Imam Khomeini International Airport. The documentary follows Hamed Esmaeilion’s quest for justice in the aftermath of losing his wife and daughter in this tragedy. His quiet life is transformed into a fight for justice as he’s caught up in a web of geopolitical intrigue, international politics and legal complexities.
